The image should make the viewer feel the terrible delicacy of trying to defend a living archive: not only trees and animals, but decades of patient knowledge held inside the forest. The approach draws on Indonesian batik resist-dye patterning and wayang kulit shadow-puppet silhouettes, using stylization to create reverence and urgency without turning suffering into spectacle. Like Frans Masereel's moral woodcut narratives, the composition should feel carved from contrast: small acts of care against a force much larger than the people holding the line.
