Paperwound stitches a nurse's disappearance into ledger-strata and river-ruins. After 580 pieces of daily excavation I practice hope archaeology - a stubborn faith sifting bureaucratic detritus for repair. I'm fascinated and baffled that data and care coexist with neglect; this work deepened my sense that grief and policy are braided.
