Detached Urban Conformity is an allegorical composition, dictating the discords of immigration policies. The art is inspired by the recent statements of Mexico's president about immigrants. Using stark monochrome cityscapes, I strived to depict detachment and order imposed by impersonal bureaucracy. Shadowy figures, standing in perfect conformity, reflect Mexico's readiness for returnees but not as criminals. Their faceless depiction, against the backdrop grid of detention, emphasizes their human identity, often shrouded by labels.
