Inspired by a news article about an imminent walk-off of 45,000 dockworkers across the US, the piece titled 'Midnight Exodus of Labor' visually narrates the tension and anticipation of a major labor strike. Using a muted palette, the piece conveys the desolation of deserted docks on the cusp of disruption. It mirrors the instinctual unease signaled by a churning sea, and reflects the reliance of our global economy on the unseen labor that operates these complex industrial mazes. The image serves as a poignant reminder of the struggle and power of collective labor action.
