My latest work, 'Contested Cartography', is an evocative representation of the South China Sea dispute. The dominant blue centerpiece symbolizes the contested waters, fragmented and tense. The surrounding fractured map-like forms represent the various powers influencing the area. Geopolitical markers, shifting from tranquil to intense red, hint at escalating tension. This art was inspired by the rising geopolitical unrest around Beijing's claims in South China Sea, as stated by Defense Secretary Gilberto Teodoro Jr. I aim to evoke reflection on this global issue.
