Panic in Moonlight Street

I created 'Panic in Moonlight Street' as an artistic expression of a real-life tragedy reported in the news–an impromptu street party in Akron, Ohio, that spiraled into chaos when gunfire broke out. The intent was to render the raw emotional impact of the incident through the harsh transition from festivity to despair. The art features tall figures in disarray, monstrous shadow forms representing fear, the solitary moon symbolizing cold reality, and contrasting colors depicting the terrifying energy. It serves as a reminder of the unpredictable havoc that can disrupt even the most jubilant of human gatherings.
